Welcome!!

Hello friend, come on in, don't be shy.
There's tons to see and more to come. But please do stay a while, and take a trip through the enchanted forests, meet the mysterious mushrooms and the enticing fairies and sirens.

Wishlist: Frames

I do most of my painting on canvas that are gallery wrapped and ready for hanging. Then on occasion I may be inspired to paint on wood panels or do some fun drawings on paper. Those pieces are not so convenient to hang without framework. Picking the right frame for your artwork has more importance than most people think, it can make or break the art.

Lately, I've been admiring vintage ornate frames with moldings and swirly details. That feminine style adds a nice contrast for contemporary low brow art. Below is my current wishlist of such frames:
The first time I saw this frame was at a friend's show. It framed a beautiful watercolor painting. Pros: love the smooth black finish. Cons: I don't have any oval works to frame. Maybe I should, just to test out the frame.
Beautiful selection of shabby chic frames from Etsy seller MountainCoveAntiques. The antiqued baby blue finish gives them an old world vintage look. I would love to get my hands on these.

Melissa from melissap6908 carries a lovely selection of ornate frames made from resin, wood,
and metal. My favorite are these bright yellow frames. The distressed vintage molding in
ultra modern yellow is an amazing contrast.
